DANBURY, Conn. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team capped off the 2025 regular season with a dominate 7-0 Little East Conference (LEC) win at Western Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon. The Corsairs finished the year with a 5-2 league record and improved to an 8-5 overall record while the Wolves concluded the regular season with a 1-7 LEC mark.

Ava Aguiar opened the match for UMass Dartmouth by securing a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles. After the Panthers secured the win at No. 2 doubles, senior

Saige Croce edged their opponents 7-5 at No. 1 doubles to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
Walters kicked off singles action with a dominate 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles to go ahead 2-0 in the match. Doiron and Croce both followed with 6-2, 6-2 victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively, to pull away with a 4-0 advantage. Sophomore
Alyson Tobias then defeated Eilynn Pierre at No. 3 singles by a final score of 6-2, 6-3.
At No. 2 singles, sophomore
Sofia Beltran battled against Ava Ciampi after trailing 6-2 in the opening set. Beltran fought her way back to defeat Ciampi 6-3, 10-5 in the final two sets to make it a 6-0 contest. Aguiar cemented the Corsairs conference road victory after winning the second set tiebreaker (6-2, 7-6) at No. 5 singles enroute to a 7-0 sweep against the Wolves.
UMass Dartmouth clinched the No. 4 seed in the Little East Conference postseason and will host Salem State University for a First Round contest on Tuesday, October 21
st for a 4:00 p.m. start time.
