PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team saw their 2025 season come to an end at Rhode Island College during the Little East Conference Semifinals match on Thursday afternoon. The Corsairs fell against the Anchorwomen by a final score of 4-0 to finish the year with a 9-6 overall record and a 5-2 Little East mark.
Rhode Island made quick work to secure the opening point of the match in doubles action. Arianna De Thomas and Emilia Houwers picked up the first win of the day at No. 1 doubles for the Anchorwomen before Haylie Peacock and Erica Botelho won No. 2 doubles to take a 1-0 edge into singles play.
Peacock put the Anchorwomen up 2-0 after earning the first singles match win of the contest at No. 2 singles. Sophomore
Alyson Tobias battled against Houwers at No. 4 singles but came up short by a score of 6-1, 6-0 to give Rhode Island a 3-0 advantage. The Anchorwomen sealed their 4-0 postseason win thanks to a No. 3 singles win by Botelho over sophomore
Sofia Beltran to cement their ticket to the Little East Conference Championship.
