PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced the 2025 All-Conference Teams for women's tennis featuring two student-athletes from the UMass Dartmouth squad. Senior
Zuri Walters was tabbed on the All-LEC Second Team Singles while sophomore
Alyson Tobias earned All-LEC Sportsmanship Team honors.
Walters collected her second consecutive All-LEC Second Team honors for singles after finishing the season with a 6-6 overall record at No. 1 singles. She also concluded the 2025 season with a 4-10 overall doubles record, primarily in the No. 1 spot for the Corsairs. Walters found her stride midway through the year after going on a 5-1 winning streak starting on September 19
th at Russell Sage with 6-0, 6-0 sweep against Annabella Putnam. Walters battled with Emma Gibney on October 4
th in conference action to secure the only singles win against Bridgewater State by a final score of 6-3, 6-3.
The Dorchester native capped off an impressive career at UMass Dartmouth with a 30-24 singles record as well as a 23-33 mark in doubles play across four seasons. Walters was a 2024 LEC Sportsmanship Team honoree and finishes her career as a two-time All-LEC Second Team Singles selection.
Tobias also wrapped up a successful year after picking up her first LEC Sportsmanship Team honor in her debut season with UMass Dartmouth. She finished the season with a 6-9 singles record, good for third-best on the team, along with a 2-9 doubles mark. She opened the 2025 campaign with two early single victories against Lesley University on September 2nd and on September 13
th versus Southern Maine.
Tobais sealed her first singles sweep at Russell Sage against Katie Snell at the No. 3 spot on September 19
th. The Hanson native finished the regular season strong with a 6-2, 6-3 singles win at Western Connecticut State University over Eilynn Pierre at No. 3 singles.
