Women's Cross Country Posts Strong Effort at Keene

Corsairs see personal bests across the board in meet at Keene State

KEENE, N.H. – The UMass Dartmouth women's cross country team was in action on Saturday, competing at the Keene State Invitational. The Corsairs – who finished 26th overall – saw all seven runners post a personal best in the Red Championship 6K, led by sophomore Raeleigh Levesque.
 
Levesque posted a time of 26:20.5 to finish 169th overall, while rookie Amya Moura placed 184th in the tough field with a mark of 26:51.6. Freshman Maria Avery-Pham was next across, notching a time of 27:13.8 for the personal record mark in 195th.
 
Rookie Ana Machado ran to 217th on the afternoon with a time of 28:15.0, while rookie Evellyn Silva-Lima posted 238th with a mark of 31:23.9. Classmate Pippa Diller had a time of 33:18.1 for 242nd as rookie Elsa Sedgwick was 243rd in 33:37.6.

UMass Dartmouth also saw two runners compete in the open 6k at the Paul Short Run on Friday morning. Rookie Ava Brunswick placed 305th with a time of 26:31.0, while sophomore Nicole Mota was 316th with a mark of 26:50.3.
 
The Corsairs return to action on Saturday, October 17 when they compete at the Connecticut College Invitational in New London, Conn. Action in the JV race will begin at 10am, followed by the varsity race at 12pm.
