Ali Jacobs

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth head lacrosse coach Meghan Griffin announced the hiring of Ali Jacobs as an assistant coach for the Corsairs in January of 2022. Jacobs brings a wealth of lacrosse experience to UMass Dartmouth, having won two Division I national championships as a player at Northwestern University in 2007 and 2008, along with over 10 years of coaching various clubs and high school programs.

Jacobs has currently served as the head varsity girls' lacrosse coach at Holliston High School since 2019. She also coaches at the Laxachusetts Lacrosse Club in Weymouth where she has guided many athletes to play at the collegiate level.

Prior to her time in Massachusetts, Jacobs was a teacher and assistant coach for five different programs at St. Paul's School for Girls in Maryland. She was also the Camp Director at Gatorland Day Camp in the summer of 2015 where she managed all day-to-day logistics of the camp.

Jacobs began her playing career at Boston University where she played in 18 games and scored two goals during her freshman season. She then transferred to Northwestern and played in 50 games, including 47 starts. As a Wildcat she registered 25 points on 23 goals and a pair of assists, finishing her career with 25 goals and four assists with 70 ground balls, 54 draw controls and 25 caused turnovers. She was also named Big Ten All-Academic in 2007.

Upon graduation, Jacobs accepted a position as an Athletic Department Intern and Coach at the Middlesex School in Concord, Mass. where she assisted the varsity lacrosse team, varsity ice hockey team and JV field hockey team JV Field Hockey team.
