Box Score CAMBRIDGE, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's volleyball team swept host Lesley in a non-conference match at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School's Nicholas Athletic Center Tuesday evening.
The Corsairs won, 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.
Senior setter Jess Goncalves (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford HS) had 24 assists for UMD, freshman outside hitter Stephanie Antoine (New Bedford, MA/Greater New Bedford Vo Tech HS) added 11 kills and two blocks, and freshman outside hitter Brianna Perry (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford HS) added nine kills. Freshman outside hitter Linsay Boulay (Swansea, MA/Case HS) had six digs.
"It was good to get the win," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve DeRossi. "We were sloppy at times, but we were able to come back. We were able to get our energy level back up, and we were successful."
The Corsairs improved to 13-1 with the victory, while the Lynx dropped to 2-8 with the defeat.
UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they play Babson and Massachusetts Maritime Saturday.
