Box Score LEICESTER, Mass. – After securing a 25-22 first set win, UMass Dartmouth Volleyball overcame a second-set loss, taking the final two sets in dominating fashion on Thursday evening, winning its third-straight match by 3-1 margin over Becker.

How it Happened
The Corsairs opened with a tight first set, prevailing 25-22 and coming back from an early deficit. Kicked off by a Kayla Kirby (Westport, Mass.) kill, UMass Dartmouth rattled off five straight points after going down 15-17 to take the lead and eventually clinch the set.
UMass Dartmouth's offense struggled in the second, mustering a negative attack percentage to fall 17-25, but found its pace again in the third. Freshman Nicole Silverman (Chelmsford, Mass.) led the way, notching four of the Corsairs' seven service aces in the 25-13 decision.
Freshmen Anita Sengara (Vancouver, B.C.) and Jordan Rittberger (Huntington, N.Y.) reached an accurate rhythm to close out the match in the fourth set, with Sengara posting six of her 16 kills on the night and Rittberger tallying 11 assists. As a unit, the Corsairs committed just two attack errors to prevail 25-11.
Inside the Numbers
- Sengara reached her second-highest kill total on the season with 16, accumulating a .224 attack percentage.
- Rittberger fueled her team to a career-high 35 assists while digging 13 balls.
- Leading three Corsairs with double-digit digs on the evening was freshman libero Jillian Sykora (Waterford, Conn.), who secured 20 without a single reception error.
- Silverman's four service aces was a new single-match career high, as she led all players on the evening.
