Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's basketball team utilized a decisive 12-0 run midway through the second half en route to an 84-66 road victory at Rhode Island College on Wednesday inside The Murray Center.

How it Happened
Rhode Island College controlled most of the first stanza, pushing its largest lead to seven after a Jimmy Fritzson (Sharon, Mass.) 3-pointer at 11:36 mark. UMass Dartmouth whittled its deficit to two just prior to the before the break, when Tucker Bouchard (Kingston, Mass.) registered a layup to put the margin at 34-32.
The Corsairs found their offensive rhythm in the early moments of the second frame, turning a two-point deficit into a nine-point advantage with a 13-2 spurt out of the break. The hosts responded with a 7-0 run of their own to close the gap to two, 47-45. However, UMass Dartmouth regained its momentum with the decisive 12-0, capped by a layup Atakan Akcam (Ankara, Turkey) with just under 10 minutes remaining in regulation.
The visitors' would not let their advantage dip below double-digits after the five-minute mark, with freshman Mert Sert (Istanbul, Turkey) extending the lead to 18 with 27 ticks left on the clock.

- Senior Jon Robinson (Chatham, Mass.) posted a game-high 16 points, leading four different Corsairs in double-figures.
- Akcam tallied 10 points to go along with a team-high eight rebounds, while Sert contributed 13 points and Bouchard added 11.
- The Corsairs have won four-straight games against the Anchormen. Wednesday marks the second-straight meeting UMass Dartmouth has beaten RIC to a score of 84-66.
- Jovel Beckford (Providence, R.I.) and Chris Farrington (Fall River, Mass.) were the lone Anchormen in double-figures on the evening, both dropping 10 points.
