WORCESTER, Mass. --  Senior Cameron Mack (Long Beach, Calif.) netted a pair of shorthanded goals, as UMass Dartmouth held off a third period surge to run its winning streak to four straight with a 6-4 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference ice hockey victory over Worcester State Saturday evening at the Worcester Sports Center.

The visiting Corsairs (9-10-2, 8-5-1 MASCAC) jumped out to a 2-1 first period lead after markers by Mack and junior Kai Kapossy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) sandwiched sophomore Nick Pennucci's (Worcester, Mass.) goal for the host Lancers (5-14-2, 3-10-1 MASCAC), and UMass Dartmouth collected a pair of tallies off the sticks of junior Nicholas Short (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman Austin Miller (Meridian, Idaho) in the first 8:53 of the middle stanza before Mack's second shorty of the night extended the visitors' edge to 5-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Junior Tim Drevitch (Oxford, N.J.) ignited Worcester State's third period rally with a pair of goals in the opening 8:26 of the final frame, and his freshman brother Kevin pulled the Lancers within one on a tally that came with 7:53 to play in the contest.  The hosts had a chance to even matters with a power play opportunity in the closing 46 seconds of action, but junior Dillon Radin (Long Beach, N.Y.) sealed the triumph with the Corsairs' third shorthanded marker of the evening that came with seven ticks left on the clock and accounted for the final margin.
