Corsairs fall at Keene State

KEENE, N.H. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth swimming and diving team fell in its Little East Conference (LEC) opener, 226-32, at Keene State Saturday afternoon.

Senior Olivia Shaw and freshman Anya Wallace each had strong days in the pool. Shaw finished third in the 50-yard freestyle (29.93) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:06.96). Sophomore Natalia Agrelo came in fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle ((31.23).

Wallace also had a pair of third-place marks in the 50-yard backstroke (33.47) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:13.89).

The time for the 200-yard medley relay team of Wallace, Shaw, sophomore Rachel Kerrigan and freshman Piper Dienst was 2:14.43.

Dienst (2:25.35) and Agrelo (2:39.75) competed in the 200-yard freestyle, while Kerrigan (39.70) took part in the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke (1:26.35).

Wallace (36.68) and Shaw (35.52) raced in the 50-yard butterfly, while Dienst (1:13.98) and Kerrigan (1:15.45) competed in the 100-yard individual medley. Dienst also took part in the 500-yard freestyle (6:30.55).

UMass Dartmouth hosts its first meet on Saturday at 12 p.m. against Western New England.
