CASTLETON, Vt. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's soccer team was defeated, 5-0, by Castleton University Saturday afternoon at Dave Wolk Stadium.
The Corsairs fall to 1-13-1 and 0-7-0 in the Little East Conference, while the Spartans improve to 7-4-4 and 4-1-2 in the LEC.
Castleton found the back of the net in the sixth minute through senior Rylee Nichols and doubled their lead just seconds before halftime after a goal from freshman Rylee Pepin from classmate Chase Livesey

The Spartans continued to score with three more goals in the second half. Nichols scored the third goal of the game in the 69th minute, followed by sophomore Brytney Moore just seven minutes later. The final goal of the day for Castleton came in the 82nd minute through Livesey from freshman Emily Bouvier.
The Corsairs are back at home for their final non-conference game of the season against Worcester State at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
