UMass Dartmouth Races at Bridgewater State

The 200-yard freestyle relay team came away victorious

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth swimming & diving team competed at Bridgewater State Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Piper Dienst won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:24.99), while senior Olivia Shaw finished second in the event (1:29.98).

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Dienst, Shaw, sophomore Rachel Kerrigan and freshman Anya Wallace were also victorious (1:55.62).

Wallace came in second in the 100-yard freestyle (1:04.30), while Shaw finished fifth (1:08.01) and junior Olivia Barnes raced to a time of 1:12.56 in her first event of the season.

Kerrigan came in third in the 50-yard freestyle (29.35), while Wallace (30.06) and Barnes (30.42) finished fourth and fifth.

Dienst was also third in the 100-yard IM (1:12.06).

UMass Dartmouth is back in the pool on Saturday, Dec. 4, when they are at Bridgewater State again.
