DARTMOUTH, Mass. -Â The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth hockey team was tripped up by Anna Maria, 6-2, at Hetland Arena Tuesday night in its final game of the first semester.
Scoring for the Corsairs (6-5-1) were freshman
Tim Kippenberger and senior
Derek Britner.
A different member of the AMCATS (4-6-2) scored each of the six goals for the road team.
Anna Maria scored the only goal of the first period to take a 1-0 lead when freshman Deklan Whillians scored from senior Patrick Manning with 13:05 on the clock.
Playing with a two-man advantage in the second, Kippenberger sent home his second goal of the season off assists from junior
Michael Perrone and graduate student
Dillon Radin at the 6:36 mark. The AMCATS took the lead for good at 10:49 of the second when senior Drew Goupille scored from junior Patrick Peltola.
Anna Maria scored four goals in the third period. Senior Jack Sitzman went unassisted, senior Tucker Quinn scored from Manning, and Manning lit the lamp from sophomore Matthew Gilbert and senior Tucker Quinn. Britner scored at the 16:50 mark before Anna Maria's Peltola scored from senior Jonathan Fowler to finish it off.
UMass Dartmouth is off until Thursday, Jan. 6, when they take on MASCAC foe Worcester State at home at 4:30 p.m.
