Men's Basketball Gameday #6: Keene State

The back end of a Little East Conference matchup of men's basketball leaders is on tap for Sunday afternoon, as UMass Dartmouth (4-1, 4-1 LEC) and Keene State (4-0, 4-0 LEC) meet for the second time in a 24-hour span for a Valentine's Day matinee.  Tip-off at Spaulding Gymnasium in Keene, N.H. is set for 1:00 pm EST.

Head Coach Brian Baptiste's Corsairs came up a point short in Saturday's clash at the Tripp Athletic Center, as the visiting Owls eked out a 68-67 triumph despite a double-double effort of 17 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and three steals from reigning Little East Player of the Week Marcus Azor (Brockton, Mass./Brockton).  Freshman Isaac Percy (Pittsfield, Mass./Taconic) added nine points and seven boards in the setback for UMass Dartmouth, which received nine points from junior Adam Seablom (Lakeville, Mass./Apponequet) along with nine points and seven caroms from sophomore Jackson Zancan (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland).  Sophomore John Martins Jr. (Taunton, Mass./Taunton) chipped in with eight points for the hosts, who received six points and 11 rebounds from senior captain Jake Ashworth (Fairhaven, Mass.) as well as six points and six boards from junior Matt Valles (Fairhaven, Mass.).

Freshman Nate Siow paced Head Coach Ryan Cain's squad with 15 points and nine rebounds in Keene State's victory, as the Owls grabbed a 15-point second half lead and held off a late UMass Dartmouth charge.
