DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The UMass Dartmouth field hockey team won 9-0 against Dean College at Cressy Field Wednesday night.
The Corsairs (1-0) outshot the Bulldogs (0-1) 44-0 with 13 shots in the first quarter, nine in the second, 10 in the third and 12 in the fourth. UMassD also had 12 penalty corners compared to zero for Dean.

Jenna Carvalho netted the first goal of her collegiate career. Dias, fifth-year senior

Sam Fisher each finished with an assist.
Perry and Dias both notched two goals in the first quarter to give the Corsairs a 4-0 lead after one. Perry scored at the 3:55 and 8:57 marks, while Dias sandwiched her two scores between those at 7:10 and 7:55.
It took UMass Dartmouth a while to find the back of the cage in the second as Dean turned up the intensity on defense. The lid finally came off when Dias completed her hat-trick with 19:30 on the clock. Stormwind got in on the action at the 24:46 mark to make it a 6-0 advantage at the half.
Perry got her hat-trick with an early third-quarter goal with 42:40 on the clock. Neimi and Carvalho each joined the party in the closing minutes to extend the lead to the final score of 9-0.
The Corsairs are back in action on Saturday when they face Simmons University at 1 p.m. at Cressy Field.
