Grad student Kylie Dias scored for the Corsairs

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth field hockey team saw its season come to a close with a 6-1 loss at the hands of Worcester State Friday night at Cressy Field.

Graduate student Kylie Dias scored for the Corsairs, who finish the year with a 3-14 record and 1-11 in the Little East Conference (LEC). The Lancers clinch the second seed in the Conference Tournament with a 10-2 record in the LEC and 13-6 on the season.

Dias gave UMass Dartmouth a 1-0 lead at the 7:54 mark off an assist from sophomore Jenna Carvalho. Dias wraps up the season with a team-leading six goals to go with two assists, while Carvalho finishes with four goals and a team-high five assists.

Worcester State quickly evened the score two minutes later. The Corsairs would keep the score at 1-1 until just before the second half, when the Lancers took a 2-1 advantage.
