DARTMOUTH, Mass. -Â The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth field hockey team saw its season come to a close with a 6-1 loss at the hands of Worcester State Friday night at Cressy Field.

Kylie Dias scored for the Corsairs, who finish the year with a 3-14 record and 1-11 in the Little East Conference (LEC). The Lancers clinch the second seed in the Conference Tournament with a 10-2 record in the LEC and 13-6 on the season.
Dias gave UMass Dartmouth a 1-0 lead at the 7:54 mark off an assist from sophomore
Jenna Carvalho. Dias wraps up the season with a team-leading six goals to go with two assists, while Carvalho finishes with four goals and a team-high five assists.Â
Worcester State quickly evened the score two minutes later. The Corsairs would keep the score at 1-1 until just before the second half, when the Lancers took a 2-1 advantage.
Worcester State added two goals in the third and fourth quarters to take the victory.
UMass Dartmouth will now look ahead to the 2023 season.
