GORHAM, Maine. -Â The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth lacrosse team fell at Southern Maine, 16-2, Saturday afternoon at Hannaford Field. Sophomore
Hannah Mitus scored twice for the Corsairs, while freshman Kate Colvin led the Huskies with five goals.
UMass Dartmouth drops to 1-10 (0-2 LEC) this season, while Southern Maine improves to 9-3 (3-0 LEC).
Southern Maine jumped ahead to a 6-0 lead after the first 14 minutes of the game. Mitus put the Corsairs on the board with 59 seconds remaining in the quarter off an assist from seniorÂ

The Huskies won the second quarter, 5-0, to make it an 11-1 game at halftime.
The second half was low scoring as Mitus made it a 13-2 game with a helper from sophomore
Erin Donovan with 6:40 to go in the third. Southern Maine closed it out with three more goals in the fourth.
UMass Dartmouth is at WestConn next for a 7 p.m. start on Wednesday.
