DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team remained unbeaten against Little East Conference (LEC) competition with a 7-2 win over Castleton Friday afternoon.
The Corsairs (6-2, 2-0 LEC) won the first two doubles matches and first five singles matches to take down the Spartans (1-4, 0-2 LEC).
Juniors
IsaBella Winter and
Ailey Riddick remained unbeaten at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-2. Both won their singles matches as well. Winter took her No. 1 singles match, 6-0, 7-5, while Riddick was victorious in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 3-6, 10-6.
Sophomore
Claire Yang (6-1, 6-1) and freshmen
Bailey Clarke (6-1, 6-1) and
Zuri Walters (6-0, 6-1) won their singles matches.
McKenzie Ferrari and
Caroline Lemieux we're victorious at No. 3 doubles (8-2).
Alanna O'Connell saw her unbeaten record in singles stopped at seven matches, dropping a close 5-7, 4-6 decision at No. 4 doubles.
UMass Dartmouth has a quick turnaround and is at Plymouth State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
