DARTMOUTH, Mass. -Â The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's basketball team lost big to Keene State, 100-72, on Wednesday. The Owls are currently ranked #6 in the country with an undefeated record.Â

The Corsairs dropped to 3-8 and suffered their first conference loss of the season. Keene State College stays perfect at 12-0 and are 4-0 in the Little East.Â
Despite the Owl's undefeated record, the Corsairs came to play in the first half. They trailed 38-37 going into the break. In the second half, Keene State showed why they are nationally ranked, soaring ahead of UMD en route to a 100-72 win. KSC was led by star senior Jeff Hunter who finished with 26 points, 18 rebounds and four blocked shots. Sophomore Octavio Brito also had a good game for the Owls with 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals.Â

Michael Eurquhart Jr. tallied a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

The Corsairs struggled with turning the ball over throughout the contest, they turned it over 18 times to the Owls' eight, and KSC was able to capitalize with 25 points off turnovers to UMD's three. Keene State also out-scored UMass Dartmouth 18-7 in fast break points.Â
