DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Powered by a strong doubles effort and a pair of victories from the top of the lineup, the UMass Dartmouth women's tennis team posted a 5-0 victory against Plymouth State University in Little East Conference Championship action on Tuesday. The fourth-seeded Corsairs improve to 10-6 overall with the victory, advancing to the Semifinals for the second straight season. The fifth-seeded Panthers conclude with a 6-8 mark.
The Corsairs now head to UMass Boston on Thursday, for a 3pm match against the top-seeded Beacons. Action will be played on the courts at BC High School.
Doubles action got underway with the first flight duo of senior captains 
IsaBella Winter and 
Ailey Riddick putting the Corsairs on the board. The pair bested PSU's Alyssa Craigie and Elena Cardoso by an 8-2 margin. Next off court was the third flight as senior 
Caroline Lemieux and sophomore 
Zuri Walters combined for an 8-5 victory over Panthers duo Chloe Ahern and Amelia Brown. 
The Corsairs gained the 3-0 match lead as the second flight pair of rookie 
Maddie Gonzalez and sophomore 
Bailey Clarke notched an 8-6 win over Plymouth State's Tessa LaBarre and Camilla Puzio.
In singles action, Winter made it a 4-0 match score as she posted a 6-0, 6-1 defeat against LaBarre from the first flight. It was Gonzalez that earned the match point decision at two, recording a 6-0, 6-2 victory against Craigie to conclude the match for UMass Dartmouth.
