Men's Soccer Falls in Road LEC Battle

DANBURY, Conn. – Powered by a strong offensive showing by Western Connecticut, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team was handed a loss on Saturday. The Corsairs slip to 1-9-2 overall and are now 0-4 in conference play, while the Wolves improve to 10-1-2 and boast a conference record of 3-0-1.

Western Connecticut saw five different goal scorers in this one. It kicked off with freshman Chance Campbell 11 minutes into the contest. The Wolves scored two more times in the opening half, coming from grad student Eduardo Vargas and senior Kent Eannarino. UMAss Dartmouth trailed 3-0 after the first 45 minutes.

WestConn added two more goals in the second frame. Sophomore Maximus Vigo and senior Mark Tricarico wrapped up the scoring in the contest, as Western Connecticut prevailed 5-0 over UMass Dartmouth.

UMass Dartmouth men's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, October 11, when they return home to host Rhode Island College for a 7PM LEC meeting with the Anchorwomen.
