DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The UMass Dartmouth women's tennis triumphed over Western Connecticut State University, 5-4, on their Senior Day to secure their third Little East Conference match of the season. The Corsairs are now 3-3 in LEC action while the Wolves fall to 1-4 in league play.
The victory also marks a milestone for head coach Doug Chapman who cemented his 100
th win at the helm for UMass Dartmouth.

Maddie Gonzalez and graduate student
Emma Collings teamed up in No. 1 doubles to secure an 8-2 win. The Wolves snagged victories in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively, to head into singles play with a slight 2-1 edge.
After trailing 3-1 in the match with a loss at No. 5 singles, graduate student
Kayli Langan posted a 6-3, 6-1 win in No. 6 singles to earn her first collegiate win for the Corsairs this season.
Gonzalez sealed a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the No. 1 singles spot to even the match up at 3-3. Collings followed behind handing her Wolves counterpart a 6-4, 6-3 defeat in No. 3 singles action to put UMass Dartmouth ahead 4-3.
A victory at No. 2 singles by junior
Zuri Walters over Melanie Grasso secured the win for the Corsairs on Senior Day. Walters handed her opponent a 6-3, 6-0 loss to lift UMass Dartmouth over Western Connecticut State by a final score of 5-4.
The Corsairs return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8 hosting the Vikings of Salem State University. The conference matchup is set to begin at 3:00 pm from the Corsairs Tennis Courts.
