Women's Track & Field Competes at DIII New England's

Corsairs see multiple relays compete; Hesketh competes in weight throw

BOSTON, Mass. – The UMass Dartmouth women's track & field team was in action on Saturday at the 2024 Division III New England Championships. Several relays and one field athlete were in action over 21 events.
 
Distance Medley Relay saw the foursome of graduate student Emma Steedman, sophomore Grace Russell, along with juniors Julia Latura and Bee Greenberg place 15th overall with a time of 13:07.09.
 
The 4x200-meter relay saw the group of rookie Allie Kimball, sophomore Isabella Taccogna, rookie Briana Caman and sophomore Petrashea Johnson place 22nd overall with a time of 1:58.36.
 
In the 4x800-meter relay, Steedman, Latura, sophomore Tori Schweitzer and Greenberg were 18th overall with a time of 10:37.47, while in the 4x400-meter relay, Russell, Kimball, Taccogna and rookie Kyla Palmer placed 22nd in a time of 4:43.57.
 
In the weight throw, rookie Emily Hesketh finished 20th overall, posting a distance of 13.18 meters (43'5").
 
The Corsairs return to action next weekend as qualified individuals compete at the Open New England Championships, back at the TRACK at New Balance on March 1-2.
