PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) released its weekly award honorees in women's soccer featuring first year midfielder
Rieanna Murray as the LEC Co-Rookie of the Week. It marks the first career LEC weekly honor for Murray following an impressive performance for the Corsairs this week.
Murray aided UMass Dartmouth to a 2-0 week to move to a 6-6-3 overall record and 2-3-1 mark in Little East action. The rookie midfielder finished the week by recording a pair of goals and one assist for five points. She registered 6-of-10 shots on-goal for a 60.0 on-goal shooting percentage after logging 142 minutes across two contests.
She opened the week by scoring a goal and dishing out an assist in a 3-0 win against Mass. Maritime Academy to earn a career-high three points. Murray went on to tally her second goal of the week at Plymouth State to defeat the Panthers in another 3-0 shutout win on the road.
Murray and UMass Dartmouth are back in action on Wednesday, October 22 at Rhode Island College for a 4:00 p.m. conference tilt.
