Burke Named Little East Goaltender of the Week

Senior netminder honored after outstanding effort last week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference has announced its weekly awards in men's ice hockey and UMass Dartmouth student-athlete Graham Burke was recognized as the Goaltender of the Week for the second straight week.  
  
Burke, a senior goalie from Wilmington, Del., backstopped the Corsairs to a 2-1 win over Worcester State last week. He recorded a season-high 44 saves, including 17 stops in the first, 14 in the second period and 13 in the final period. His only goal allowed over 60:00 minutes played came during the second period of play.
 
On the season, Burke has appeared in seven games, including five as a starter. He owns a 2-4 record, allowing 22 goals with a 3.52 goals against average. Owning a .908 save percentage, Burke has notched 216 saves on the season, ranking this amongst the Little East goalies in saves per game (30.86).
 
Burke picked up his first weekly honor of the season last week after recording 38 saves in the victory at Salem State. Allowing just one goal, he recorded 15 saves in the first period, 16 in the second and seven in the third to secure the win. His only goal was allowed at 4:46 of the opening period, going on to stalemate the Vikings for the Corsairs first win over Salem State since Feb. 10, 2024.
 
UMass Dartmouth (6-5-0; 1-3-0 LEC) returns to the ice in 2026, traveling to Little East rival Keene State on January 9 for a 7:30pm game. The Corsairs then head to WestConn on January 10 for a 2:30pm tilt against the Wolves.
