Women's Lacrosse Bested by Eastern Connecticut State University

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The UMass Dartmouth women's lacrosse team were bested by Eastern Connecticut State University, 17-2, on Wednesday evening in Little East Conference (LEC) action from Rich McCarthy Field.  The Corsairs fell to a 3-4 mark in conference play, and are now 9-67 overall on the season, following the loss to the Warriors who move to a 4-3 league record.
 
Eastern Connecticut State snagged an early 3-0 lead in the opening few minutes of action featuring a pair of goals from Abby Parisi. First year attacker Claire Altshuler netted the first score of the game for UMass Dartmouth, her 20th goal of the season, to make it 3-1. The Warriors continued to generate momentum on the attack scoring nine unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a commanding 13-1 advantage heading into halftime.
 
In the third period, the Warriors tacked on two more goals before sophomore attacker Maddy Allen found the back of the net with 1:31on the clock, marking her 62nd goal of the year. Eastern Connecticut State added two scores in the final period of the contest to solidify their win by a final score of 17-2.
 
Allen and Altshuler each tallied one goal apiece for UMass Dartmouth in the road loss. Allen notched her 62nd goal of the season, ranking her first overall in the Little East, while Altshuler recorded her 20th score of the year.
 
First year goalie Keira Bushey picked up the loss in net after allowing 17 goals and registering six saves. Her counterpart made seven stops in net and gave up two goals in net for the Warriors.
 
UMass Dartmouth travels to Plymouth State University for the final regular season game of the 2025 season. The conference tilt is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Panther Field.
