RaeLynn Perregaux of the UMass Dartmouth softball team were each selected to the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region Third Team, as announced by the organization on Friday. Takasugi garners her second consecutive NFCA All-Region Third Team award while Perregaux earns her first career All-Region selection.
An All-LEC First Team honoree, Takasugi capped off an impressive senior season with the Corsairs in 2025. In 34 games played including 33 starts, Takasugi finished the 2025 campaign with 38 total hits, 24 runs scored, and eight runs batted in. The veteran outfielder concluded the season with a .330 batting average, good for second best on the squad, after 115 total at-bats to go along with a .389 on-base percentage and a .365 slugging percentage. Takasugi led the team for the second straight year in stolen bases with 20 on the season, tied for fifth overall in the Little East. The right fielder recorded 49 total putouts featuring one assist for a .962 fielding percentage in 2025.
The South Pasadena native posted nine games this season with two or more hits featuring season-high three hits on Apr. 4 against VTSU Castleton and Apr. 14 at Plymouth State University. Takasugi also saw a season long 11 game hit-streak starting on Apr. 14 and ending on May 1 at the University of Southern Maine. She tallied two runs batted in on Mar. 10 against North Central College during THE Spring Games tournament. She also recorded five games with two stolen bases in 2025 including back-to-back games on Mar. 12 versus Fontbonne University and Ursinus College.
Perreagux had an outstanding 2025 season to earn her first career NFCA All-Region Team honors. The third baseman lead the team with a career-high .443 batting average after registering 54 total hits on 122 at-bats. Perregaux also topped the team statistics with a .656 slugging percentage as well as a .474 on-base percentage, both marking career-highs for the junior infielder. Additionally, she posted career-highs with 30 runs batted in and 18 total doubles in 2025. Perregaux finished the season with 23 runs scored, two home runs, one triple, and five stolen bases after starting in all 38 contests for the Corsairs. On the defensive side, Perregaux owned a .911 fielding percentage after making 42 putouts and a career-high 111 assists. She also lead the team with nine total double plays.
In the Little East, Perregaux lead the conference with 18 doubles on the season while ranking second overall with 54 hits, 111 putouts, and nine double plays. She also sat third overall with a .656 slugging percentage while her .443 batting average and 30 runs batted in ranked fifth overall in the league.
On Mar. 25 at Brandeis University, Perregaux recorded career-highs with four hits along with five runs batted in to defeat the Judges, 12-4, in game one of the series. She recorded 15 games with two or more hits highlighted by a 14-game hit streak starting on Apr. 4 against VTSU Castleton and ending on Apr. 29 versus Keene State College. On Mar. 13 against Lasell University, the Torrington native notched a career-high three doubles after going 3-for-4 at the plate in a 15-0 triumph over the Lasers.
