CASTLETON, Vt. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team edged Vermont State University Castleton, 4-3, on the road to secure their second straight Little East Conference win of the season. The Corsairs move to a 2-0 mark in conference play and 4-1 overall while the Spartans dropped to a 1-3 overall record.

Ava Aguiar battled in No. 3 doubles forcing the game into a tiebreak, but Castleton secured the win to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
UMass Dartmouth started singles play strong with Aguiar picking up a win at No. 6 singles to tie the match up 1-1. First year
Alyson Tobias trailed 4-1 early in the opening set against Madelyn Nonni at No. 2 singles. Tobais fought her way back to a clinch the second singles win for the Corsairs by a final score of 6-4, 6-1.
Graduate student
Kayli Langan continued the winning streak with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles. Doiron cemented the Corsairs victory with her decisive win against Sophia Hussak at No. 4 singles to put UMass Dartmouth ahead 4-1. Despite the Spartans late wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively, the Corsairs held on to seal their second consecutive conference win by a final score of 4-3.
