DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team fell against Nichols College on Tuesday afternoon by a final score of 6-1 in non-conference action. The Corsairs move to a 4-2 overall record while the Bison secure their fifth straight win to go 5-0 on the year.
Despite a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles for UMass Dartmouth, the visitors got the opening point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles heading into singles play. Kamora Helton kicked off singles action with a win at the No. 1 spot to give the Bison a 2-1 lead. Sophomore

Mya Dean both battled at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively, for the Corsairs but Nichols extended their advantage to 4-1.

Alyson Tobias competed against Charis Vogler at No. 3 singles but came up short, putting the visitors ahead 5-1 in the match. First year
Gianna Doiron wrapped up singles action for UMass Dartmouth and battled with Erin Helly at No. 5 singles. Doiron fought back in the second set, however Helly secured the win (6-2, 6-4) to seal Nichols victory by a final score of 6-1.
UMass Dartmouth travels to Western New England University on Thursday, September 25 for their next non-conference tilt scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time.
