Volleyball Duo Tabbed for Weekly LEC Honors

Seutter and Peters named Offensive Player and Setter of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference has announced its weekly honorees in women's volleyball and UMass Dartmouth student-athletes Olivia Seutter and Skye Peters have been recognized. It marks the fourth straight Offensive Player of the Week honor for Seutter, while Peters claims her second Setter of the Week nod this season.
 
Seutter, a sophomore opposite from Mesa, Ariz., captured her fourth consecutive weekly award after notching 44 kills over three tough matches last week for the Corsairs. She added a dig to go along with four total blocks, accounting for 46.0 points for UMD on the week.
 
In a tough 3-1 loss at Johnson & Wales on Wednesday, Seutter posted 13 kills with just three errors on 28 swings for a .357 hitting percentage. She then posted 10 kills with two block assists and a dig in a 3-1 victory over Endicott on Saturday.
 
Seutter closed out the week with a career, season and match-high 21 kills with no errors on 31 swings for an astounding .667 hitting percentage as the Corsairs defeated Brandeis, 3-2 on Saturday. She also added another two block assists in the victory.
 
Through 14 matches this season, Seutter paces the team and the Little East with 170 total kills, averaging 3.40 kills per set – which ranks second in the conference. She also leads in the team and conference in total points (84) and has recorded just 41 errors on 428 total attempts for a .301 hitting percentage – which is fourth in the LEC. In addition, she has posted four assists, a service ace and 30 digs. Seutter also ranks second on the squad in blocks with 23.0, including 20 assisted.
 
Peters, a junior setter from Albuquerque, N.M., garnered her second honor of 2025 after posting 69 assists for a 5.31 assists per set margin over three matches. She added seven service aces and 23 digs on the week.  
 
In the loss to the Wildcats on Wednesday, Peters posted 22 assists with an ace and six digs. She went on to record 21 assists with four aces and 12 digs in the four-set victory over the Gulls, before notching 26 assists with two aces and five digs in the win against the Judges.
 
On the season, Peters ranks second in the conference in both digs – 176 – and digs per set – 4.76. In 11 matches, she has posted at least 10 digs in nine matches, including two this past weekend with 20+.
 
UMass Dartmouth returns to the court on Saturday when its hosts tri-match action at Tripp Gym. The Corsairs welcome LEC-rival Southern Maine for the Corsairs Game of the Week at 12pm. The Huskies will then face Trinity (CT) at 2pm, before the Bantams play the Corsairs at 4pm.
