DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The 2025 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators, have been announced and UMass Dartmouth student-athlete
Connor McManus was recognized. It marks the first Academic All-District honor for the sophomore kicker, who had a great second season for the Corsairs.
McManus, a native of New Bedford, Mass., notched a 3.83 cumulative grade point average as a business major. A starter in all 10 games for UMD during the 2025 season, he recorded 31 punts for 1,111 yards, averaging 35.84 yards per punt. He had a long of 55 on the season with three touchbacks and eight inside 20 yards.
The sophomore kicker also went 7-of-8 on the season in field goals for an 87.50% in 10 games. He was 3-for-3 over 20 yards, 3-for-4 over 30 yards and a perfect 1-for-1 over 40 yards. Additionally, McManus posted 1,974 kickoff yards on 54 attempts, averaging 36.6 yards per kick. Overall, McManus – who went 27-of-33 in point-after-touchdown attempts – was the second-leading scorer on the team with 48 points.
A 2025 All-MASCAC Second Team Offense selection, McManus ranked third in the league in points, owning the third highest field goal percentage among the conference's best as well. His seven field goals made were also third in the MASCAC. Additionally, he posted the fourth-most punting yards and attempts among the conference kickers.
McManus, who was named the MASCAC Special Teams Player of the Week on September 8, is a multiple MASCAC All-Academic selection. During his rookie campaign, he played in all 11 games for the Corsairs, making 17 punting attempts for 614 total yards. He also made 23-of-31 point-after-touchdown attempts.
The Corsairs finished the 2025 campaign with a 6-4 overall record, going 6-3 in the MASCAC with wins over Fitchburg State, Mass. Maritime, Worcester State, Dean, Westfield State and Plymouth State.
