Sullivan Continues Impressive Rookie Season, Scoring Fifth Goal

CASTLETON, VT - In a defensive battle, the Corsairs fell to the Spartans of VTSU Castleton by a score of 3-1.

The Corsairs held the Spartans scoreless through the first half of the game. It wasn't until a minute left in the second quarter where the Spartans grabbed their first lead of the game.

Yet another impressive day in goal by Morgan Carr kept Castleton from scoring for most of the game. Carr ended her day with 11 saves.

The Corsairs broke up the Spartans shutout late in the fourth quarter as Kendall Sullivan found the back of the net for the second time in three games.

It was freshman's fifth goal of the season, which is a team high.

The Corsairs will continue their road trip next week as they head to Newton, Mass. to face off against Lasell. Game time on Tuesday the 27th is slated for 5pm.
