PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference has announced its weekly honorees in women's volleyball and UMass Dartmouth senior
Skye Peters was recognized as the Setter of the Week. It marks Peters' fourth honor of the season.
In the Corsairs' lone match last week – a 3-2 victory over Keene State – Peters recorded a match-high 40 assists. She added four service aces, while notching a block assist and 10 digs against the Owls for UMD's first LEC win of the season.
Through 14 matches played this season – including 56 set appearances – Peters has posted a total of 470 assists with an 8.39 assists per set average. She currently owns a team-high 30 service aces on the season with 26 kills to go along with 120 digs – which ranks third on the squad.
Among the Little East's best, Peters ranks first overall in total assists and assists per set. She is also seventh overall in service aces. In Division III, Peters currently ranks 28th in total assists and 58th overall in assists per set.
UMass Dartmouth returns to action on Wednesday, hosting Rhode Island College in the Corsairs Game of the Week. Match time is set for 6pm at Tripp Gym.
