WELLESLEY, Mass. - It was another outstanding morning of swims on Sunday morning as four UMass Dartmouth student-athletes advanced into the finals at the 2026 Little East Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. The Corsairs - currently ninth at the meet - saw five personal bests met during the morning session heading into the final night of championship swimming.
Leading things off was rookie
Abby Fernandes, who was 10th overall in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 57.99. She will now swim in the consolation finals beginning at 5:30pm. Next up was the 1650-yard freestyle as senior
Isabella Gerardi posted fifth in the morning prelims with a personal record time of 21:16.07.
Senior
Kylie Winer swam to third overall in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in a personal best time of 2:38.86. That mark sends Winer into the championship final, which will begin at 6:52pm. Gerardi was back in the pool for the 200-yard butterfly, swimming a personal record time of 2:39.62 to place ninth overall. The time will see Gerardi swim in the consolation finals beginning at 7:11pm.
Rounding out the days efforts was junior
Skye Peters, who placed seventh overall with a personal record time of 1:07.98 in the 100-yard individual medley. Peters will swim in the championship finals of the 100-IM beginning at 7:35pm.
The group will also swim the 400-yard free relay beginning at 8:17pm.
