DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The UMass Dartmouth women's lacrosse team shouldered a tough Little East Conference loss on Saturday, falling to Eastern Connecticut State University on Cressy Field. The Corsairs move to 3-12 overall and 0-6 in conference play with the 16-5 loss to the Warriors.

The day was highlighted by a four-point effort from junior midfielder Maddy Allen, who eclipsed the 200 career points mark with an assist in the opening quarter of action. She now has 174 goals and 27 assists for 201 career points in 49 games for the Corsairs.

Allen helped the Corsairs open up a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, scoring back-to-back goals within one minute of one another to move to 47 on the season. Then, at the 10:14 mark, she fed the ball to rookie midfielder Carleigh Swenson on the man-up for a 3-0 advantage.

The Warriors battled back as a pair of goals narrowed the gap to 3-2, but Swenson added another man-up goal at 7:35 for a 4-2 edge. A pair of goals in the final 3:35, including the second of the game from Alexa Vizzini tied the game at 4-all heading into the second quarter.
