KEENE, N.H. – Behind a strong opening effort in the first quarter, Keene State College defeated UMass Dartmouth in Little East Conference action on Wednesday at the Owl Athletic Complex. The Corsairs move to 3-9 overall and are now 0-3 in conference play with the 16-5 loss to the Owls.
The home team opened the game with three straight goals before the 40th tally of the season by junior midfielder
Maddy Allen cut the margin to 3-1 with 4:24 to go. The Owls continued to press and tacked on four more goals in the final 3:45 to own a 7-1 lead heading into the second quarter of action.

Jennifer Lins found the back of the net off a feed from rookie attack
Hanna Guay at 12:36 and Allen later netted another tally at 9:47 to make it an 8-3 game. Keene State added another score before time expired, heading into halftime with the 9-3 advantage.
Out of the break, rookie midfielder
Carleigh Swenson posted her 16th of the season to narrow the gap to 9-4, but seven straight goals into the fourth quarter saw the home team open a 16-4 score. The Corsairs saw rookie midfielder
Cat Whitehouse post the final score for her 11th of 2026 at 5:24.
Allen paced the way with two goals, adding five ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers in the game. Whitehouse had a tally with a draw control and a caused turnover, while Swenson posted a goal with three draw controls and a caused turnover. Katie Hague had five ground balls as well.

Keira Bushey played the full 60 minutes, recording 13 saves on the night.
UMass Dartmouth returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Vermont State University Castleton for an 11am Little East game.
