Seth Kaplan is entering his second year as an assistant coach with UMass Dartmouth, coming to the school after five seasons at the helm of Dean College.

Kaplan helped to build the Dean baseball program, leading the team to a National Junior Collegiate Athletic Conference Regional championship in 2016. It marked the first time the team earned a title in 50 years. His coaching resume features 20-plus players that have go onto play at Division I or II, and 15 have signed professional contracts.

Prior to joining Dean, he spent eight seasons with Division I Sacred Heart, serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and was named team-captain during his senior year.
