Paul Harrison returns for his third season as an assistant coach after starting the UMass Dart­mouth football program as the Corsairs’ first-ever head coach in 1988.

Harrison headed the program for two seasons, leading UMass Dartmouth to an inaugural record of 5-4 in the 1988 season as a member of the New England Football Conference before posting a 2-7 mark in 1989. Prior to 1988, he coached UMass Dartmouth’s club program for three seasons until football became a varsity sport.

Harrison taught in the Middleboro, Mass. school system for over 30 years and also coached the football team for just as long. The Sachems earned four Massa­chusetts state titles under his watch. He also coached for a year at Dennis-Yar­mouth High School before coming to UMass Dartmouth.
