Mike Sones joined the coaching staff ahead of the 2018-19 season after a successful career as a Corsair.

Sones transferred to UMass Dartmouth from Curry College after his freshman season. He netted 39 goals and tallied 41 assists for 80 points over 79 games as a Corsair from 2015-2018. He also served as an assistant captain. Prior to his collegiate career, Sones played in the British Columbia Hockey League and the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

A native of Waterdown, Ont., Sones is also the Director of Marketing at Pro Ambitions Hockey. He currently resides in Plymouth, Mass.
