Dave Pacheco serves as the Assistant Coach for the Corsairs men's soccer program, a role he began in August of 2022. Pacheco also served as the Interim Head Coach at UMass Dartmouth from February through July of 2024. Pacheco brings a wealth of coaching experience and knowledge over multiple levels of soccer amassed over the past 10 years.
Most recently at the collegiate level, Pacheco was the men’s assistant and goalkeeper coach for Bristol Community College helping all aspects of the program from 2018 to 2022. In those four years Bristol CC qualified for two NCJAA Region 21 tournaments (no tournament in 2020), making the final and semi-finals, respectively. Prior to Bristol CC, Pacheco spent five years with Bishop Stang High School, spending the last year as varsity head coach.
Pacheco also brings a host of experience from the club level working with such clubs as Expos Soccer and Futsal Club, St. Michaels FC and most recently Bayside FC, where Pacheco has spent the last five plus years. Pacheco is currently an assistant coach for the boys’ Bayside MLS Next Academy, head coach for U16 EDP, and the goalkeeping coach for the boys’ MLS Next academy, EDP and NECSL programs. During his time with Bayside, Pacheco has developed student-athletes who have gone on to play at the collegiate division 1, 2, and 3 levels. Pacheco currently holds a US Soccer D-License, and United Soccer Coaches GK3 Diploma.
Prior to his coaching career, Pacheco played soccer for Massasoit Community College.
Pacheco currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island where he serves as a Program Director for a non-profit juvenile justice program.
