DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Sophomore Kendra Hebert (Lowell, Mass.) qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on the one-meter diving platform to lead the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth against Eastern Connecticut State University this afternoon in a Little East Conference dual meet inside the Tripp Athletic Center.

Hebert swept the events in the diving well, capturing the one and three-meters events.  The sophomore from Lowell, Mass. eclipsed the ECAC Championship standard with a score of 241.70 points to become just the third student-athlete to represent the Corsairs at the regional meet.  She also won the higher board with a total score of 218.95.

Freshman Chrissy Deveaux (North Andover, Mass.) powered the Corsairs in the pool, winning three individual events. She captured a pair of middle distance events, touching the wall first in the 500 (5:33.46) and 1,000 (11:26.46) freestyle, respectively. She also defeated the field in the 100 breaststroke with a time of one minute, 15.74 seconds.

Sophomore Kaya Flanagan (Fairhaven, Mass.) was victorious in a pair of events, winning the 100 freestyle (57.91) and 100 backstroke (1:05.24).  Freshman Jenna Leanues (Lakeville, Mass.) also placed first in the 50-yard backstroke, touching the wall 32.58 seconds.

Prior to the meet, UMass Dartmouth recognized its six seniors— Amy Araujo (New Bedford, Mass.), Ally McCarville (Stoneham, Mass.), Kassandra Schell (Hanover, Mass.), TJ Doucette (Middleboro, Mass.), Michael Gryss, Jr. (New Bedford, Mass.), and Phil Lowney (Mattapoisett, Mass.)—that were competing in their final home, weekend meet.
