Box Score

BEVERLY, Mass. -- Senior Diego Slobotzky (Mexico City, Mexico) provided all the offense Endicott College would need this afternoon, registering his first collegiate hat trick to lift the Gulls to a 3-0 victory over the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in a NCAA Division III men's soccer match.

Endicott registered its sixth consecutive shutout to improve its overall record to 7-1-1, while the Corsairs slipped to 4-3-1.

The two teams battled to a scoreless draw over the opening 45 minutes of regulation with the hosts holding a 6-1 advantage in shots.

The Gulls scored what proved to be the eventual game-winner in the 56th minute, when Slobotzky ripped a shot from outside the 18-yard box.  Less than 13 minutes later, Endicott doubled its advantage as Slobotzky finished a feed from Chris Montani. Slobotzky completed his hat trick in the 87th minute, elevating his fifth goal of the season into the top right corner.

Nick Weinstein did not have to make a save to earn the victory, while his counterpart, freshman JP Rosa (Boston, Mass.), stopped six attempts.

UMass Dartmouth will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, when the Corsairs host UMass Boston.
