How it Happened
Bridgewater State came out swinging, posting a .282 team attack percentage in the first set to jump out to an early lead with a 25-22 win. The hosts then built on the performance in the second set, committing just four attack errors to clinch a 25-14 score before narrowly edging the visitors by a 26-24 margin in the nightcap.
Freshmen Anita Sengara (Vancouver, B.C.) and Jordan Rittberger (Huntington, N.Y.) paced the Corsair attack game, with Sengara totaling six kills on a .340 attack percentage. Rittberger registered three kills on nine attemps to put for a .333 percentage and also racked up a team-high 13 assists. On defense, freshmen Jillian Sykora (Waterford, Conn.) and Nicole Silverman (Chelmsford, Mass.) each corralled seven digs while Emily West (Holyoke, Mass.) led all players with three block assists.

- Bridgewater State slammed 33 kills on the night on a .139 percentage, outdoing the Corsairs' total of 17 kills.
- The Bears also outperformed the visitors on defense, posting 34 digs to UMass Dartmouth's 27.
