UMass Dartmouth senior Anthony Joseph (Acushnet, Mass./Fairhaven) and sophomore Tristin Viale (Westfield, Mass./Westfield) were named to the 2019 Little East Conference Men's Tennis all-conference team in a vote of the league's coaches, as the Corsair doubles tandem earned second team all-league accolades for their performance during the spring.
Joseph and Viale combined for an 8-8 overall mark at the top doubles position for UMass Dartmouth, including a 5-2 slate in Little East play. The duo helped the Corsairs claim a 5-1 victory in the conference quarterfinals over Western Connecticut, as Head Coach Karsten Rathlev's squad advanced to the league semifinals for the ninth straight season before falling to eventual tournament champion UMass Boston.
Joseph's all-conference accolade was the second of his career, as Anthony earned first team honors in singles play as a junior in 2018. Rathlev guided his alma mater to eight overall victories for the third straight campaign this spring.
