WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -Â Playing in its final regular season game of the season, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team fell to Eastern Connecticut, 4-0, Friday afternoon at Nevers Field.
The Corsairs (7-6-2, 3-4-1 LEC) will be the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Little East Conference Tournament beginning on Tuesday and will play at WestConn in the quarterfinal matchup. The Warriors (11-6, 7-1 LEC) will be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs and have a bye into the semifinals.
East Conn. scored two goals in the first half and two in the second. Freshman Sean Cafferty scored two goals in the 11th and 35th minutes. The first of the day was assisted by senior Larson Richards.
Richards had the helper on the Warriors' third goal by junior Jared Caroline in the 48th minute. East Conn. scored again in the 52nd minute. It was put in by sophomore Caleb Ennin.
UMass Dartmouth is at WestConn on Tuesday for its quarterfinal matchup.
