FALMOUTH, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth hockey team suffered its first MASCAC loss at the hands of Plymouth State, 6-3, at Falmouth Ice Arena on Saturday night.
Plymouth State improves to 3-1-1 (1-0-1 MASCAC), while the Corsairs fall to 4-2-0 and 2-1-0 in the MASCAC.

Cade Hanley just under three minutes into action, but PSU responded with four straight goals, capped by a power play strike from junior Niks Krollis in the final minute, to take a 4-1 lead into the second intermission.

 scored a short-handed marker eight minutes later and another PSU goal extended the lead to 6-2, before UMassD capped the scoring with a short-handed goal of its own by sophomore
Elliot Burgin in the final minute.
Plymouth State held a 46-32 advantage in shots on goal and 65-45 overall. The Panthers went 1-of-6 on the power play, while UMass Dartmouth was 1-for-5. Each team had a short-handed tally.
UMass Dartmouth is back in action on Thursday at Fitchburg State at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
