Goncalo Roias found the back of the net for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team in its 2-1 victory over Fitchburg State Wednesday night at Cressy Field.
The Corsairs (4-1-1), who extended their unbeaten streak to five matches, outshot the Falcons (0-5), 15-11. Fitchburg State did lead in shots on goal with seven compared to five for the Corsairs, and UMassD finished with three corners, while FSU had two.

Jack Waterhouse collected five saves in the second half.
UMass Dartmouth controlled the pace in the first half, outshooting Fitchburg, 9-1. On the Corsairs' fifth shot of the night in the 21st minute,
Will Cochran sent a cross that deflected off a Falcon and found the foot of Passaro who blasted it past the keeper to make it a 1-0 game.
The Corsairs extended their lead to 2-0 in the 48th minute when junior
Tyler Trate sent a long throw in to sophomore
Brandon Araujo who sent a perfect cross to Roias who sent the ball to the back of the net.
Fitchburg did not go quietly into the night. Junior Joshua Atemkeng scored in the 51st minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Falcons then had three more shots, two of which were saved by Waterhouse, and one that banged off the crossbar, but could not even the score as the Corsairs hung on for the win.
UMass Dartmouth is off until Wednesday Sept. 29 when they face Rhode Island College at Cressy Field at 7 p.m.
