WESTFIELD, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth swimming & diving team competed at Westfield State Saturday afternoon and came away with five victories on the day.

Freshman
Anya Wallace won a pair of individual events. She took home the 500-yard freestyle (6:09.22) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:42.85). Freshman
Piper Dienst was second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:29.38), while sophomore
Rachel Kerrigan placed second in the 200-yard individual medley.

Also winning two events was senior
Olivia Shaw. Shaw won both the 50-yard butterfly (32.11) and the 100-yard individual medley (1:18.32). Sophomore
Melia Bouramia was second in the 50-yard butterfly (33.73), while sophomore
Natalia Agrelo finished second in the 100-yard individual medley (1:19.83).

The 200-yard freestyle relay of Wallace, Agrelo, Kerrigan and Dienst came away with the fifth win of the day with a time of 1:56.77.

Other events saw Wallace place third in the 50-yard freestyle (28.93), while Shaw was fourth in the event (30.02). Dienst finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (1:04.60) and Bouramia was fifth (1:08.88).

Agrelo placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:20.14). In the 50-yard backstroke, Bouramia was fourth (36.17) and Agrelo was fifth (37.33).

The 50-yard breaststroke saw Kerrigan finish fourth (40.27). Kerrigan also placed fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:26.02).
UMass Dartmouth returns to the pool on Saturday, Feb. 5, for a 12 p.m. meet at WestConn.
