DARTMOUTH, Mass. -Â The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's soccer team honored its two graduate students,
Kait Bernier and
Kalli Guillemette, prior to its game against Westfield State on Tuesday night.
It was the Owls (10-3-1) who came away with a 2-0 victory over the Corsairs (3-11-1) in nonconference action.
Sophomore
Madison Durkin and senior
Kat Hubbard combined for 10 saves in net, while Hubbard did not allow a goal for the final 31:33 of the game.
Scoring for Westfield were freshman Morgan Berthiaume from grad student Jenn Rennich in the 10th minute and Rennich by herself in the 33rd minute.
UMass Dartmouth is back in action on Saturday against Castleton at 12 p.m. for Senior Day.
