BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's soccer team fell, 3-0, at Bridgewater State on Tuesday night at Swenson Field.
The Corsairs (3-7-0) held a 23-12 shot advantage over the Bears (7-2-2) and 8-7 on goal, as well as a 9-3 edge in corner kick attempts.
Senior Michelle Belcher opened the scoring in the 16th minute as she buried a shot from 25 yards out inside the left post.
Graduate student Madelyn Morin extended the BSU lead to 2-0 in the 38th minute with senior Delaney Langton collecting the assist.
Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Durkin made a diving stop in the waning seconds of the first half to keep it a two-goal game at the break.
A header goal by freshman Sklyar Conrad off a Belcher corner kick gave the Bears a 3-0 lead in the 58th minute.
UMass Dartmouth hosts Roger Williams Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
